Employer of Record in Canada

Hire employees anywhere in Canada without opening a Canadian entity. Wages Canada becomes the legal employer, runs CRA payroll, handles taxes and compliance across all 13 provinces and territories — including Québec — so your team can focus on the work.

How our EOR works

From hire to first paycheque in about a week.

A simple three-step handoff. You stay in charge of the day-to-day. We handle everything legal, administrative and payroll-related.

1

You tell us who you're hiring

Share the worker's name, location, start date, role and compensation. We confirm the right province and employment terms.

2

We employ them under Wages Canada

Compliant Canadian employment contract, provincial standards, benefits enrolment and payroll setup. Usually within one week.

3

We run payroll & compliance

CRA remittances, CPP, EI, provincial equivalents, WSIB/WCB, T4s and year-end filings — handled. You get one Canadian invoice.

What we handle

End-to-end Canadian employment, under one roof.

Every piece of the Canadian employment stack — provincial standards, federal and provincial payroll taxes, year-end slips, workers' compensation, and the Québec-specific requirements most global providers skip.

📝

Employment contracts & onboarding

Province-specific contracts, offer letters, consent forms and new-hire onboarding — tailored to the worker's jurisdiction.

💰

CRA payroll & remittances

Federal payroll deductions, source remittances, and all CRA filings on schedule. We own the payroll account.

🏛️

CPP / EI (and QPP / QPIP in Québec)

Canada Pension Plan, Employment Insurance — plus Québec Pension Plan and Québec Parental Insurance Plan where applicable.

📄

T4s, T4As & RL-1 slips

Year-end tax slip generation for federal (T4/T4A) and Québec (RL-1) employees. Filed on time, every time.

🦺

WSIB / WCB registration & claims

Workers' compensation registration in every province, premium calculation and payment, and claim administration if an employee is injured.

🍁

All 13 provinces & territories

Including Québec: CNESST registration, French-language compliance (Bill 96), RL slips, and QC-specific holiday rules.

Who it's for

Built for teams who need Canadian employment handled.

Our EOR serves three groups well: companies entering Canada from abroad, Canadian staffing firms needing co-employment, and SMBs who'd rather hand the back-office to a trusted partner.

Foreign Companies

Entering Canada without an entity

Hire your first Canadian worker in days, not months. Skip the incorporation, CRA registration, payroll setup, and provincial filings. We take on all of it so you can start operating.

Staffing Firms

Co-employment & back-office

Scale across provinces without multiplying your admin. We handle the employment relationship, payroll funding, WSIB/WCB, and compliance while your recruiters stay focused on placements.

Canadian SMBs

Offload the HR & payroll burden

You run the business. We run the paperwork. Great for companies hiring in multiple provinces, or expanding into Québec for the first time without hiring an HR specialist.

Why Wages Canada

A Canada-only EOR, not a global aggregator.

Global EOR providers cover 100+ countries at the surface level. We go deep on one: Canada. That's the difference between an EOR that can tell you the right answer, and one that googles it after the fact.

🍁 Wages Canada

  • Direct CRA and Québec filing in-house — no sub-vendor chain
  • Deep provincial expertise, including CNESST and Bill 96
  • Real people in Canadian time zones, quote reply within one business day
  • Part of a Canadian family: free ATS, Wavli (time & attendance), Health & Safety
  • WSIB/WCB registered in every province
  • One Canadian invoice, in CAD or USD

Global EOR aggregators

  • Routes Canadian payroll through a local sub-vendor
  • Generic contracts translated from a US template
  • Support hours tied to European or Asian HQ
  • Standalone offering — no connected tools or services
  • WSIB/WCB handled by whoever answers the phone that day
  • USD-first billing, markup on top of CAD payroll
FAQ

Common EOR questions, answered.

How long does EOR onboarding take?

Usually about one week once we have signed documents and the employee's start information. Québec placements can take slightly longer because of CNESST registration and French-language contract requirements, but we flag that upfront so there are no surprises.

Can you handle Québec?

Yes — Les Services Wages QC Inc. is our Québec-licensed subsidiary. We handle CNESST registration, QPP and QPIP contributions, RL-1 slips, French-language employment contracts, and Bill 96 compliance for workers in Québec. Most global EOR providers can't do this directly and will quietly subcontract Québec placements.

What about contractors instead of employees?

We also offer Agent of Record (AOR) for incorporated contractors — compliant payment facilitation, worker classification support, and Regulation 105 handling for cross-border contractor payments. If you're not sure which structure fits, our cross-border intake form helps us recommend the right one.

Who holds the employment relationship with the worker?

Wages Canada becomes the legal employer under Canadian law. You direct the worker's day-to-day activities under a client services agreement with us. We own the payroll account, the WSIB/WCB account, and the T4/RL-1 issuance — you own the work being done.

Can you support WSIB/WCB claims if an employee is injured?

Yes. We're registered in every province, pay the premiums as part of the EOR fee, and manage claims administration end-to-end — including CNESST claims in Québec. If a worker is injured we're the first call, and we coordinate with the client on return-to-work plans.

How is pricing structured?

EOR pricing is quoted per engagement based on worker location, compensation, and complexity (benefits, Québec requirements, multi-province, etc.). Most quotes land back in your inbox within one business day. Get a free quote →
